How Does It Work?
- New Patient Office Consultation + EKG: A thorough initial consultation with a healthcare provider to assess your medical history, current health status, and an electrocardiogram (EKG) to measure your heart’s electrical activity.
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Ultrasound: This screening procedure uses ultrasound technology to check for the presence of an abdominal aortic aneurysm, which is a potentially life-threatening condition involving the enlargement of the aorta.
- Echocardiogram: An echocardiogram is a non-invasive test that uses sound waves to create images of your heart, allowing doctors to assess its size, shape, and function.
- Carotid Ultrasound: This ultrasound scan is used to examine the carotid arteries in your neck, which supply blood to the brain. It helps identify any blockages or abnormalities in these crucial arteries.
- Ankle Brachial Index (ABI): ABI is a simple and painless test that measures the blood pressure in your ankles and arms to assess the blood flow to your extremities, which can help diagnose peripheral artery disease.
- CT Calcium Score with Coronary CTA: A computed tomography (CT) scan is used to measure the amount of calcium buildup in your coronary arteries. Coronary CTA provides detailed images of the coronary arteries to evaluate the presence of any blockages or narrowing.
- Follow-up Office Visit to review: After the initial tests and evaluations, a follow-up office visit will be scheduled to review the results, discuss findings, and create a personalized healthcare plan based on the comprehensive evaluation.
